Udit Khurana's graduated from Hansraj College, Delhi University, with a degree in Mathematics. His journey in storytelling started in a university theater environment and naturally progressed to filmmaking. After training at L.V. Prasad Film Academy, Chennai, Udit worked as the cinematographer on numerous documentary and fiction projects, collaborating with directors from diverse regions and languages.

His notable projects include 'Ghaath' (Berlinale 2023), 'For the Love of a Man' (Venice International Film Festival 2015), and 'Chronicles of Hari' (Busan International Film Festival). Recently, he worked on Netflix's 'The Hunt for Veerappan'' and 'Mithya', a FIPRESCI-nominated Kannada feature film. For his work, he was selected as an Emerging Talent at the Berlinale Talents Camera Studio in 2023.

In 2024, Udit wrote and directed a medium-length film 'Taak' which examined the growing surveillance state.

World Premiere at Berlinale!

Udit Khurana's second narrative feature will have it's world premiere at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival. It will be screened in the Panorama section and is up for the best debut feature award for the Director and Producer.

Berlin Talents 2023

Berlinale Talents is going to take place from 18 to 23 February 2023 at the theatre HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Berlin. It is one of the most important platforms for emerging film professionals and offers 200 selected creatives from the fields of film and series networking opportunities and access to a global community of soon to be 10,000 Talents. The collaborative interaction of all film disciplines as well as the involvement of the cinema-loving festival audience have been the most important features of Berlinale Talents in Berlin from the very beginning. The initiative considers each of its 14 film disciplines and their representatives as equal in the artistic process, allowing this vision of a diverse and fair cultural industry to be a practical experience for all.

Mithya 
NFDC WIP Lab

Mithya, a Kannada feature film produced by Paramvah Pictures and directed by Sumanth Bhatt won the Prasad DI Award at the NFDC WIP lab 2022. This is Udit's second film to win this award after Ghaath won it in 2020.
